Xenium Lodge No. 207
February 2, 1867, a few of the brethren of this lodge decided to start another lodge in Mount Pleasant, the same to be called Doric Lodge, but when the lodge was chartered it was chartered as Xenium Lodge No. 207. This lodge existed until September 4, 1903, when it consolidated with Mount Pleasant Lodge No. 8.
When Mount Pleasant Lodge No. 8 was chartered there were only eight lodges in Iowa with a membership of 172. Since then there have been more than 647 more lodges chartered and at the high peak of Masonry in Iowa the total membership aggregated between 85 and 90 thousand.
